December🎄Fun

December has been absolutely filled with Christmas fun, and it's not even Christmas yet....at least not for a few more hours! :) Here's a few of the things we've been up to this month.....

Getting to stop by and see the HUGE tree at Riley
Having a special afternoon just Emmy & Mommy at an Our Generation doll event at Target
They even gave her a new outfit for her doll!
And Mommy let her pick out some new friends too! ;)
With our help, Emmy did her 1st letter to Santa this year....
And she even got to mail it in Santa's special mailbox!!
The four of us then spent the evening in downtown Indy, looking at lights, walking the circle, and even grabbed dinner and some chocolate for dessert! Yum!
We went w/ Lacy, Melvin and the boys to a special Christmas party at Oliver's church daycare. They got to dress up, do crafts, play games and have snacks! So fun! Don't they all look so cute in this picture?! Luke did NOT want to give back the lamb though! Ha!
And this was a fun game where you wrapped up your mommy or daddy in toilet paper to look like a snowman!! Emmy loved it!
Poor Melvin was such a trooper as Grayson & Ollie wrapped him up too!!
Baking Monster Cookies w/ Grandma!
Having Lacy, Melvin & the boys over to make Christmas cookies & crafts!!
Seeing Santa at our King Christmas
Luke wasn't so sure of Santa but still wanted us to "CHEESE" for the camera
And you can definitely see in this picture that Luke was not feeling the Christmas spirit, Yikes! Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Christmas at the Zoo

Last night we met several of my co-workers at the Zoo for their special nighttime Christmas festivities. They even had a little Christmas village set up this year with Santa, live reindeer, and cookies w/ Mrs. Claus in her kitchen....so fun! And as always, the lights were beautiful!! Here are a few pictures from the evening :)

Emmy & Mrs. Claus :)
Decorating a cookie in Mrs. Claus' kitchen
Mrs. Claus was so nice!

Emmy and Luke loved all the lights!!
They even had a snow machine!

Getting ready for...Christmas!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with 4 different family get-togethers in 5 days, whew! We also found time during all that celebrating to start decorating for Christmas! We are extra excited this year as Luke is able to join in on the fun now. Here are a few fun pictures of us as we hang our wreath, stockings and lights, put up the tree.....and most of all, have fun together :)

Brown County

Over Fall Break this year we made a last minute decision to head down to Brown County and were surprisingly able to book a night at the park in a little cabin. It was perfect, right next to the Lodge. The kids had so much fun exploring on the trails and playing at the indoor water park. We were all exhausted that night. Except for Luke...he thought it was pretty neat that we all were in the same room for bedtime. And when we said goodnight he would giggle and say, "ni night" which was so cute.....but the sweet boy just kept saying it! Every time it got quiet we'd hear his little "ni night" and then his infectious laugh. (Emmy thought this little game was quite hilarious too which just made Luke do it even more.) And then on our way home we stopped in Columbus for the kids to play at the Children's Museum and indoor play ground. It was such a quick weekend but we had an absolutely wonderful, much needed, enjoyable time together. On our way home Emmy summed it up best when said from the backseat, "Brown County is my new favorite state!" Ha! We couldn't agree more sweet girl!! ❤

So precious....
Emmy was so proud of the walking stick Josh found for her, we were calling her Trailblazer Emmy as she lead the way for us :)
Emmy still loves holding up her signature "I'm a whole hand!"
They both loved walking the trails...and so did we!
It cracks us up that Luke has his tongue out all the time!
The museum was great!
There's that tongue again!
Emmy thought the toilet bowl slide was hilarious!
A few more of our favorite pics from our special weekend away.....
