Time for a check-up!!

This past week we had Emmy's 5 yr check-up (still in denial she's turning 5 in less than 2 weeks!!!) and Luke's 15 month check-up. It was a little hectic having both appts at the same time but I was so glad we could do it all in one day! They also each had 3 immunizations, but were such troopers! Here are each of their stats:

Emmy
Height: 44.5 inches  88%
Weight: 48 lbs 4.8 oz  90%

From last year's appt, Emmy gained 6 pounds and grew 2.5 inches!! Dr. Adams was so pleased with how well she is growing!!

Luke
Height: 33.5 inches. >95%
Weight: 26 lbs 13.5 oz. 93%
Head Circumference: 50 cm >95%

From his 12 month visit, Luke had gained 2.5 pounds and grew 2 inches!! Dr. Adams was also pleased with how well our big boy is growing!!

Doesn't she look so much older in this picture?!
Always up to something..... ;)

Apple Picking :)

Emmy has been asking about going to pick apples for over a year, and since we missed the boat (or should I say apples) last Fall, we wanted to make sure we made it happen this year. So we headed over to Tuttle Orchards in Greenfield and spent the afternoon exploring the farm, playing at Tractor Town and picking our very own apples! Emmy even got to make her own caramel apple! We will definitely have to make this a new family tradition :)

Josh and I didn't even realize they were holding hands when we took this! ❤
Tractor Town was awesome and had SO much for the kids to do/explore!
Emmy said she liked Papa's combine better! Ha!
Moooo!
Emmy loved getting on Daddy's shoulders to reach the best apples
Busted! Doesn't he look like he just got caught w/ his hand in the cookie jar, I mean apple bag?!

Yum!!
They both loved the straw maze!
Bye Tuttles, see you next year!!!

Overnight w/ Papa & Grandma

For Josh's 40th birthday this year I surprised him with tickets to see U2! And last night was our concert so we made arrangements for Emmy and Luke to stay with my dad and Sherry for the night. I'm not sure who was more excited!? The kids or Papa & Grandma :) Here are a few pictures they sent us and then one of us at the concert we sent to them. It sounds like their night together went so fast, as it did for Josh and I. But we couldn't wait to all be together again today. And we heard so many fun stories of them playing hide and seek, riding the gator, checking out Papa's farm machinery and running up and down the mound in the yard. Thank you Papa and Grandma for such a fun overnighter! We'll have to plan another one again soon ;)

Cheese!
I love this one with them peeking through the fence
And now Luke is crawling under the fence to get to Papa....how cute!
Sweet Luke looks exhausted from a fun day on the farm!
Breakfast time!!!
Grandma had packed a little goody bag for the ride home with a few cute toys and yummy snacks!
Here's to a wonderful date night My Love....

All in a weekend.....

Now that Fall is in full swing we have football games every Friday night, as well as Soccer and Dance on Saturday mornings! It's only for a few weeks that everything overlaps but it sure makes our weekends busy! Here is Emmy sporting her weekend wardrobe this Fall!! :)

Emmy loves wearing her cheerleading outfit to Daddy's games :)
Luke loves the football games too!!
This is Emmy's 2nd season playing soccer, I couldn't believe she went up two shoes sizes just since the Spring!!
She's on the Red Cardinal team with some friends from school!

Holiday World 2017

It has been 2 yrs since we traveled down to Holiday World to spend the Labor Day weekend with the Erwin family. We had so enjoyed the little tradition we had begun, so this year we decided to start it back up again! And we are so glad we did! The kids had a ball together and are already looking forward to next year. :) Our first day we stayed around the cabin and went fishing, played on the playground, went swimming, grilled out and made smores by the campfire. And the second day we headed to Holiday World where we spent the entire day from open to close! We were able to ride a ton of rides in the park AND play at the water park too! It was SO fun!! And then today we headed to Santa's Candy Shop to pick up a few favorites before heading home. Thank you Brian, Amy, Ian, Clare & Eryn for making this such a fun tradition we all enjoy, we love you guys!!
