"Treat Treat!!"

This was Luke's 1st year getting to trick or treat with the big kids (Colt, Beau, Judd & Emmy) and when he'd run up to the door he would say "Treat Treat" instead of "Trick or Treat" it was so cute!! Our sweet little guy even carried his own bag and tried his hardest to keep up! We had so much fun getting to walk around the neighborhood together and Emmy loved getting to see so many of her friends from school. For their costumes, Emmy was a candy princess and Luke was "Holidog" the mascot from Holiday World! They looked so cute and had a ball!! Chuck & Sue stayed at the house and passed out candy for us but had to shut the light out after they ran out...282 kids in less than an hour!?!?! Crazy! No wonder we ran out of candy so fast! ;)

Happy 6th Birthday Emmy Jane!

Wait...did I do that right?! Is our little girl really SIX years old?? Sigh....unbelievable! We had such a fun birthday weekend. It started with Emmy inviting two of her little friends over for a "tea party" birthday party. The girls painted little tea cups, played, colored, and then had their own little tea party outside. The girls had hats and purses and even got to use Emmy's tea set for their "tea" (pink lemonade!) Emmy came up with the menu which was little PB & J sandwiches that we made with cookie cutters, watermelon (also used the cookie cutters) and mini cupcakes. It was so cute ;) And for today, her actual birthday, we just had a small get together with family and a few of Emmy's favorites.....like Pizza King pizza, several dips & chips, fruit pizza, and my ice cream dessert. The kids had so much fun together, especially when they turned the hose on the slide which made a pretty awesome mud puddle at the bottom! The kids were soaked...and covered in mud but they had a blast. Emmy even yelled as she ran through the yard drenched and dirty "best birthday ever!!!" Haha, totally worth it! Happy Birthday Em, we love you!!!!!

Weekend in Columbus

This past weekend our family went to Columbus, Ohio for a little getaway. Josh and I have always had a special place in our hearts for Columbus as it always seemed to be our go-to spot when we needed to get away...which usually came after one of our losses. And now, as our family is finally complete, it felt absolutely wonderful to head back and enjoy Columbus together. :) On our way into town we stopped at an apple orchard to play and pick a few of our own apples. Then it was on to the hotel where we swam in the pool and ordered pizza from a yummy local spot. After breakfast we headed to COSI, (science museum) where the kids had fun discovering, building and exploring. We then walked over to the Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch, and even got to sit in the train car to eat, which Luke loved! Before heading home we played at the park, taking advantage of the beautiful Autumn weather. Thank you Josh for planning such a precious little trip for us to spend together, you always know just what your family needs. Thank you Emily & Luke for completing our family so perfectly, Daddy and I love you both so very much. And thank you Father, for blessing me beyond my wildest dreams. You knew, through the pain and so much sadness, the joy my heart would have ❤

Doesn't Luke look so mischievous?!
Emmy got the seat, but Luke got the wheel!
This was their favorite part, playing in the corn!
Emmy loved the big jumping pillow!!!
And they both loved the apples!!
Luke was so happy to find each and every vehicle he could drive!
Sigh...he looks SO big on this!!
Such a perfect weekend away!!
