Ever since her first haircut, Emmy LOVES doing everyone's hair, even Daddy's. Today, Miss Carol sent this super cute picture of Emmy playing with another little girl's hair at school too :)

Emmy's 1st haircut!

So I know she's almost 2.5 yrs old, but our sweet girl has just now gotten to the point where she finally has enough hair to cut! :) So the three of us went tonight to get her first hair cut and she did great! We even got to celebrate with a little ice cream afterwards!

Spring is here!

We have LOVED the warmer temperatures recently and are so excited for Spring!!! We have gone for wagon rides every night since it warmed up; around the neighborhood, to the playground and even for some ice cream! 

We had so much fun playing at the playground at the school, and it is so nice to be close enough to WALK there!

Weekend in Rochester

This past weekend we traveled to Rochester to see Lauri, Jesse, their sweet little girl Alice (they're also expecting twins in the next few months!) and two other dear friends, Grace and Mary. It was so nice to finally have the opportunity to catch up with my girls! Emmy just adored Alice and was wanting to be her "big helper" all weekend. She was constantly trying to hug her and give her kisses :) Here are a few pics of them together...

Cousin love :)

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to meet Emmy's newest cousin, Oliver! My cousin, Lacy, had her second little boy and we couldn't be happier for her, her husband, and big brother Grayson. Emmy absolutely loved holding Oliver and she even got to help feed him. She still talks about, all these weeks later :) Here's a picture of Oliver and Emmy and then I couldn't resist sharing this latest one of her and Colt. She just LOVES all of her cousins!

God's Amazing Grace

For my birthday last weekend, Josh surprised me with a weekend away in Cincinnati, just the three of us. We had such a great time together. And we sure needed it....earlier that week we had painstakingly suffered through our third miscarriage. When we got married we never imagined this would be part of our story, but it is, and we trust God to write the rest. We also never dreamed we would be blessed with our sweet Emily Jane, who is healthy, happy and such a joy to us. After everything we've been through, we don't know how she's here, other than by God's amazing grace and her own stubbornness :) We don't know what the next chapter in our lives will bring, but we trust in the One who does and cling a little tighter to Him, and to each other.
