State Fair Time!

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to head to the State Fair with my dad, Sherry, Meri, Samuel and Elizabeth. This was Emmy's first time, that she remembers, and she loved it! Thank you Papa for inviting us to come along, we had a blast!

Loving the Lake

We just got home from another fun weekend at the Lake :) Emmy loves going up there, especially when Colt is going to be there too! This time they played in the sand, caught frogs, and went tubing off Grammy and Gramps new pontoon. Here's a picture of Emmy and Gramps with a fish they caught together!

Fun on the Farm

This past week Emmy got to spend a few days with Papa and Grandma at the farm while I was at work and Josh was out of town. They had a ball together! I love that Emmy will experience these fun memories of the farm just like I have. Here are just a few of those fun memories they made together. Thank you Papa & Grandma for such a wonderful time, we love you!

Thanks for letting me drive Papa!

Pittman Family Reunion, part 2

After the Reunion Josh had a great idea to take an extra day, just the three of us, and explore Gatlinburg. Before we headed out we stopped by Ripley's Aquarium and it was one of the best we've seen! You could get right up next to the penguins which Emmy thought was the best thing ever....and so did I! :) Thank you Josh for surprising us with such a special treat, as Emmy would say, "We love you very, very, very so much!"

Pittman Family Reunion, part 1

This past weekend we traveled down to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the Pittman family reunion. This is my mom's side of the family, more specifically her mom's side of the family. My grandma's maiden name was Ruhama Jane Pittman, (and she is why our Emily is now the 4th generation with the middle name Jane.) It was wonderful getting to see aunts, uncles and cousins that I hadn't seen in over 10 years. Many of the family hadn't ever met Josh or Emily. I loved having the opportunity to share my little family with my much, much bigger extended family. So many of them commented on how proud my mom would be, and how very much she would love both Josh and Emmy....I think this same thought every single day. I long for them both to know what it would be like to be loved by her, she had a way of making you feel so special. I can only hope they do see her and feel her love....through me. I know she would've been so happy that we were able to attend the Reunion, which is why we are going to do a much better job of staying in touch with that side of the family. The Reunion will be held every 3 years, and we're already looking forward to the next one. :)

A real black bear we saw on the trail to Laurel Falls, YIKES!

We had SO much fun at the Falls! It was quite a hike, but worth it!

Our view from the balcony of the lodge we shared with the family, Emmy just loved the mountains

Special Day at the Zoo

Grammy surprised Emmy and Colt with a special trip to the Zoo today. Josh got to tag along too and they had such a great time! Emmy loved the splash park so much that she didn't want to leave!  :)

Daddy's Backseat Driver

For Josh's birthday this past weekend we got him a new bike and now we love going on bike rides with Emmy around town. She loves to sit in the bike trailer and be Daddy's backseat driver :)
