Emmy's Play :)

Not long ago, we were asked if Emmy would be in the high school play, "Into the Woods". They needed a few little ones so Emmy and the Kemerly kids got to be in the play together. We were so excited for the opportunity, knowing she would just love it, and she did. She smiled the whole time she was on stage....literally, from ear to ear, the entire time! She had two parts, a bluebird and a hen, so she even had a costume change! When she was a hen she had to run on stage all by herself, flapping her "wings", it was SO cute! She was such a trooper through the long practices, late nights and dress rehearsals but she loved getting to be with the "big kids" and those high schoolers were so good to her. She had three big shows over the weekend and did so well each night. She even fell once on stage and just popped back up, still smiling. :) After each show, she had people coming up to her wanting to meet her and get their pictures with her, it was awesome! And she had lots of loved ones in the audience, each night, cheering her on. We are so proud of you Emmy Jane, great job on your big performance!!

First Bike Ride

We got Emmy a bike for Christmas and it has finally been warm enough to try it outside! We've done plenty of laps in the house :) but she was so excited to actually take the bike out for a change. Lacy, Melvin, Grayson and Oliver came over and she had so much fun getting to ride bikes with Grayson, and of course play in her car. And considering how crazy windy it was, we couldn't believe she actually stayed up on her bike! But she did awesome! Way to go Emmy!! :)

Birthday Surprise

Last month over my birthday weekend, Josh surprised Emmy and I with a little surprise getaway. Josh and I both love Columbus, OH and over the past few years whenever we needed a little break from the tough stuff, we'd make the quick trip over there. So this time, he decided we should go for a fun reason. My last two birthdays were so hard....we lost a little one within a day or two of my actual birthday. So this year, was the best birthday ever :) Here are a few pictures of our weekend in Columbus, we went to the Science Museum, which was amazing, swam in our hotel pool and went to one of our favorite restaurants. Thank you Josh & Emmy for making this birthday so memorable, I love you both so much!!!

Playing dress-up

Emmy has always loved playing dress-up, so I couldn't help but share a few of her recent favorite outfits. The last two pictures are of Emmy and Zane, one of her friends at Miss Carol's house. She almost always has a different, fun outfit on when I pick her up after work. So cute! Love you Emmy Jane!!!!

After an amazing holiday season, filled with precious time with family and wonderful Christmas traditions, we are excited for this new year and everything it will bring. I apologize that it took us so long to update, but we have been waiting to share a very special surprise. As you can see from our pictures above, the year will be full of new blessings for our family :) Telling Emmy the news that she is going to be a big sister will forever be one of our favorite memories ever....We'll continue to post updates on how things progress, much more frequently this time, I promise! So, to catch everyone up to speed, things are going absolutely wonderfully this time, we are a little over 18 weeks along, and our little addition will be here in June!!! Please keep all FOUR of us in your prayers!!! ;)

Breakfast with Santa

I can't believe another month has flown by! We were so fortunate to get to spend time with family over Thanksgiving and now here we are getting ready to celebrate Christmas in just a few short weeks!! Well this week we started our Christmas preparations by putting up our tree, decorations, lights, and stockings. And today we went to our very first "Breakfast with Santa" held at Josh's parents' church. Emmy had so much fun, and we did too! We had a big pancake breakfast, then met Santa and got a picture with him and a present. And then they had three different crafts for the kids to do. It was such a great little event! Or should I say big...I think our whole town was there! :) We'll get to pick up our picture with Santa and our special animal hand print craft in a few days but in the meantime here are some pictures of Emmy making her Christmas crafts. So cute!
