Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We headed back to Stony Creek Farms this year since Emmy enjoyed it so much last year. There is always so much to do, see and eat! Emmy loved the hayride back to the pumpkin patch and getting to pick out just the right pumpkin for her and one for Luke too. :)

Even Bigger, Big Girl Bed

For Emmy's birthday, we got her a pretty headboard for her bed and put it up on a frame. She has been in her big girl bed for almost 2 yrs now, but we kept it on the floor until she was ready to be a bit higher. Well she's been ready for quite some time now and is so excited about her "even bigger, big girl bed" :)

7 Years

Today Josh and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. And we cannot help but feel so completely blessed by all that God has given us, especially our two precious children. What an amazing ride it has been so far....I love you my dear husband, and cannot wait to experience the next twists and turns of this Strange Life, together.

Princess Party

Ashlynne invited Emmy to a Pirate & Princess party held by her preschool at Trinity last week. We didn't know much about it, just that she got to dress as a princess :) Emmy loved the opportunity to wear her Halloween costume a few weeks early, she's going to be Princess Sofia, but little did we know that Princess Sofia was actually going to be there!! Along with Tinkerbell and Jake! It was a production company from Indy and they put on the cutest show, the kids even got to sing and dance with the characters. Emmy was so excited! And the best part, at the end of the night they even got to have a meet and greet! Enjoy the pictures of our little princess :)

Fun with Friends

Since I've been back at work, Luke has adjusted to daycare so well. Miss Carol truly is such a blessing! And the other kids are so good with him. I think it helps having his big sis there too! Here a few pictures of him enjoying his new friends :)

A Wedding to Remember

Over the weekend, Josh and I traveled down to Athens, Ohio to celebrate the wedding of my dear friend Whitney. Whitney worked at Riley for 5 years before she took a job in Columbus earlier in the year to be closer to her amazing family. Her husband, also a Josh, is so good to her and we all couldn't be more happier for the two of them. There were quite a few of us from her Riley years there at the wedding, many of whom have also moved on now. It was so fun, to all be together again, celebrating Whitney's big day. (Josh and I had fun together too, it was our first night away since Luke was born and thankfully I held it together, haha) At the end of the night, and a complete surprise even to Whitney, her dad gave each of us from her Riley journey a rose as his thanks for helping Whitney through her early Child Life years. It was such a sweet gesture! Congratulations Whitney & Josh, it was an absolutely beautiful day and you are a beautiful couple! We love you!!!!
