Our Little Ballerina

Emmy Jane had her first dance recital over the weekend.....and it was precious! She started asking about "dance class" all on her own last fall but we weren't sure if she was really interested or not.....well she certainly was :) And she looked forward to class every week leading up to the big recital. Her little class definitely stole the show, they were adorable! Emmy had her own fan club in the seats, and was so proud. Thank you everyone for coming to support our little ballerina! We love you Emmy, and are so proud of our tiny dancer!!

Beach pics.....finally!!

I finally remembered to upload the Spring Break pictures of Luke's first time at the beach! As you can see....he loved it! What made me remember was how Emmy asked out of nowhere today if we could go back to the beach someday :) Yes, sweet girl, we definitely will!!!

Tonight, Josh and I headed to Edgewood Country Club for a recognition banquet to honor teachers from around Madison County who were nominated by their peers for the Max Beigh Award. This award demonstrates excellence in education and to just be nominated is an extreme honor. And I am excited to share that Josh's peers nominated him to represent Lapel High School! What a wonderful night, I was so proud to stand by your side Josh...as I always am! I love you sweetheart! Congratulations! ;)

Go Cubs Go!

Since golf season is now in full swing (no pun intended) Josh's weeknights and Saturdays are extremely busy. So needless to say, we absolutely treasure our time with him. And this past weekend he completely surprised us by planning an impromptu trip to Cincinnati for a Cubs game! I think all 4 of us needed that extra day away together, and we truly had a wonderful time. Thank you Josh for always putting us first even when you are pulled in so many different but worthy directions. We love you, as Emmy would say......all the way to the North Pole and back ;)

The riverfront park across from the ballpark was fantastic! There were a ton of fun, but different things to do, like the huge walking piano chime! It was such a great place for Emmy to run and play after sitting at the game and before getting back in the car!

Emmy's 1st soccer game!!

This Spring, Emmy is finally old enough to play in our local soccer league! She had asked about playing over a year ago so we weren't sure if she would still be interested after all this time, but she emphatically said yes!! Today was her first game and it was also the coldest day we have had in weeks! But she was such a trooper and had so much fun! We love you Emmy Jane!!!

Happy Easter!

For Luke's first Easter the Easter Bunny did a few things differently! ;) He left a trail of candy eggs leading to some yummy surprises and then hid Emmy and Luke's baskets for them to find! We then went to church and then later in the day headed to Grammy & Gramps' house for dinner and an egg hunt :) Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Ready for Spring!!!

Emmy and Luke both have been so excited for the warmer weather to arrive...and it's finally here to stay!!! Tonight Josh hung up the swings to the playset and this year we had a new one to add...a tractor swing for Luke!!! Thank you Papa & Grandma, he absolutely loves it!!!
