Mommy/Daughter Day

Kindergarten Roundup was yesterday and for those students that are already enrolled in Lapel's Pre-K program, their parents got to come in for a special program. So I got to go to school with Emmy!! She was so excited to show me her cubby, where she sits, projects they've been working on, etc. And then us parents had a meeting to fill out all the paperwork for Kindergarten (is my little girl really going to Kindergarten already?!?) The best part is we got to take our kids home with us after the program!! So Emmy and I had a special Mommy/Daughter day together....and I will remember it always. We promised each other we will do this every year, at least once, from now until forever :) She had been asking me about going to get our nails done together, since she had never had that done before and thought that would be fun to do together. So we we went and did that, went to a super fun, fancy lunch at the Cake Bake Shop, stopped at a local toy store, played at a park and then checked out a local play place called the Urban Chalkboard. We had a ball together!! I love you Emmy Jane, my strong, beautiful, kind, and courageous girl!!! Always and forever my dear girl ❤

"Fancy Dance"

Last Friday night Emmy and I were given the opportunity to attend a fundraising event for Riley that mirrored "Dancing with the Stars". It was even held at the Indiana Roof Ballroom!! She was SO excited to go to a "fancy dance" and I was just as excited to have her as my date :) Here are a few pics from the amazing evening!!!

February Fun

Here are a few fun pictures of the kids from February!! Including an extra treat of getting to see when Luke accidently got my hair caught in the toy mixer....something very similar happened with Emmy and one of my combs when she was younger!! Haha, enjoy the pics! ;)

Playing in the S-N-O-W!!!

Now that Luke is over his double ear infection (yuck!) we were finally able to let him experience his first big snow!!! We were so excited to see what he would think of it. He had watched Emmy through the window as she played, but now it was his turn. So here they are....a few pics of Luke's 1st time playing in the SNOW!!!!! ❄❄❄

We love you Luke and had so much fun playing in the snow this first of many times!! 

SO BIG!!

Last month we had Luke's 18 month check-up and he is doing great!! Still almost off the charts, in every way!! Here are his stats:

Height: 34.5 in.  97%
Weight: 28lbs 6oz. 93%                                          Head Circumference: 50.5cm.  99%

And here a few other things Luke has been up to at 18 months!!!

-Books! Especially ones that make noise, have flaps or he can hold/carry in his hands

-Toys he can ride on, he absolutely loves his tractor and his fire truck (pictures of both at the end!)

-He still loves to eat and has recently discovered how much he likes popcorn :)

-He loves shoes, and is often found walking around the house in Josh's, Emmy's or mine! And he'll bring his shoes to us, sit down and say, "shoes!"

-Luke has quite the personality and loves to wave and say hi to everyone out the window or on the phone. And for pictures, as soon as we say "cheese" he gives us his toothiest smile! He also has the most mischievous grins....I wonder where he gets that from????

-Bath time! He loves kicking and splashing and has no fear of the water

-He absolutely adores his big sis and still gives her the biggest hugs and kisses. Speaking of kisses, the way he closes his eyes and puckers up for a kiss is just precious! Watch out ladies!

Luke loves his fire truck and tractor....and his flashlight apparently! ;)
