Wedding Weekend!

This weekend we went to my cousin Kayla's wedding here in Indy. It seems like just yesterday my cousin Lacy and I were train holders for Kayla's parents when they got married. Kayla looked absolutely stunning and it was such a wonderful day! We had such a good time catching up with family. The reception happened to be just down the road from our house so a bunch of the family stopped over between the wedding and reception. It made me so proud to have my King family in our neck of the woods. I miss them all so much and treasure the time we spend together. And Emmy loved all the extra attention! At the end of the night, she was still going strong ready to dance and play! :)

Happy Birthday Josh!

This weekend we celebrated Josh's birthday at the lake with his family.  It was so nice to all be together and celebrate someone we love so very much. Josh, you truly are a wonderful man, loving husband and caring father...and Emmy and I are so proud to be "your girls" :) Happy Birthday My Love!

8 months!

It's hard to believe Emmy turned 9 months old today! This past month flew by and we cannot wait to see what this coming month will bring. Here's a few of our favorite memories from "8 months" to share!

Happy Father's Day!

This year to celebrate Josh's first Father's Day, Emmy and I surprised him with tickets to his favorite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays! The closest team they play is the Chicago White Sox, and most everyone knows I'm a die hard Cubs fan. So going to a Sox game is like torture for me, but Josh is more than worth it! :) The day ended up being perfect. We had a great time at the game, enjoyed some tasty Old Chicago pizza, and even went swimming at the hotel. Here are a few pics from the game and then our Father's Day celebrations (with a special note at the end for all the dads!)

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Especially to my dad, Byron and Josh's dad, Chuck. We are so thankful for the wisdom, guidance and support you continually share with us. We both have learned so much from each of you. And to you Josh, you are an amazing father to our little girl, and someday soon she'll get to tell you so herself. I am so proud to be walking alongside you, as your wife, in this crazy, beautiful life. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Emmy and I love you so very much!

Emmy's 1st Indians Game

We recently had a chance to go to Emmy's first Indians game downtown with a few of my co-workers and friends. We had such a fun night! It was great visiting with friends and Emmy had a blast playing on the lawn. We were celebrating one of my dear friends who will be leaving work and heading home to Ohio to be with her family. After 7 yrs of working together, I have so many good memories and will treasure our friendship always. Love you Hope!
