Pajama time!!

I couldn't resist sharing this....Emmy and Luke sitting in Josh's chair together before bed. Luke absolutely adores his big sis, you can already tell. And she has loved him since the moment she heard he was coming. She still whispers a special goodnight wish to him, just as she did before he was born. Instead of kissing my tummy and saying, "Goodnight precious baby, I love you" she now kisses his forehead and whispers "Goodnight brother, I love you" (except it comes out "brudder") and it is the sweetest thing ever...Thank you Father for these two precious children you have given us, we are so truly thankful for them!

Mamma Mia!

Last night, Emmy and I made homemade pizza together! Since she loves to cook/bake so much, Grammy & Gramps got her her very own cooking utensils and supplies for Christmas! She was so excited to make her pizza all by herself and boy was it good!! Way to go Pizza Chef Emmy!! :)

He is in 9 month clothes and some 12 month clothes already. He is also eating lots of new food now, has 2 teeth and is laughing, smiling and "talking" all the time! He is such a sweet boy, we love you Lucas Ray!!!

Luke's 1st Christmas

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we sure did!!! :) Emmy loved helping Luke open his presents and he loved trying to eat the wrapping paper in the process! Now that he has TWO teeth and eating real food he wants to try and chew/eat everything! More on that and his 6 month stats in the next post!!

Christmas with Friends

This afternoon, Emmy and Luke had their Christmas party at Miss Carol's. Families of those who currently go to Miss Carol's and then several more who are now in school are invited to come together and celebrate. And of course Santa pays a visit too :) Luke cared more about the wrapping paper than Santa, but he did sit on his lap for a quick picture with his big sis! Emmy was so excited to see Santa this year, her little face just lit up when he walked in. Carol and her husband Perry, always do such a great job making the party so special for the kids and their families. Thank you Miss Carol for all you do for us, we love you!!!

Thankful Beyond Measure

Even though we are in the midst of Thanksgiving festivities, we took advantage of the day off together and began our Christmas preparations. And as we started putting up the tree, hanging lights, ornaments and stockings, I couldn't help but remember last Christmas. Emmy standing by the tree as we told her that she was going to be a big sister. Or hanging our stockings and wondering, if everything goes well, would there be another little one with us next year? And as I stood there today watching our family of four, as we laughed and played, my mind went back to everything we have been through....the loss, the emotional roller coaster, the five pregnancies in five years. And now....our joy. Our two precious joys. This Thanksgiving particular, I am thankful....thankful beyond measure.

Yum! Yum!

Last night we gave Luke rice cereal for the first time and he ate the whole bowl, lol! He looked like such a big boy in his high chair too. And tonight we were sitting at the table eating our supper while Luke was in his swing. He started fussing and looking over at us so I went ahead and made him some cereal and put him in his high chair. And that sweet boy stopped fussing right away, he just wanted to be at the table, eating with the rest of us :) I have a feeling he'll be ready for even more food soon enough!
